Hello everyone,

As developers, we spend a lot of time in front of our computer screens, so anything that could help reducing eye strain is worth a look.

It appears Discourse-based forums allow administrators to set up a dark theme so the user can choose between this and the default light theme in its settings.

@pwim Could you have a look at this? It seems to be pretty quick to activate this functionality.

Okay, I followed the instructions there, and you can select a dark theme now. The { tokyodev } header component looks a bit janky as I haven’t done anything to adapt it for the dark theme, but I guess it is good enough for now.

Thanks. It’s great! The header still looks al right with the dark theme on I think.

There are some very good chrome extensions like ‘Dark Reader’ that will make everything dark mode.
