I’m English, my wife is Japanese. We married in the UK. We currently live in England. She has an indefinite leave to remain visa. We have a 1 year old baby who has a British and Japanese passport. We are considering moving to Japan. However this seems impossible as I am self employed. I work mainly from home. Does anyone have advice on how I can get a visa to live in Japan? My wage would be considered decent in UK & Japan. My wife doesn’t currently work. Can I get a spouse visa if my wife isn’t working?
If your wife is a Japanese citizen, you should be eligible for a spouse visa, regardless of whether or not she is working.
